Established in 1993, the endowment fund helps Mended Hearts by providing scholarships and grants, assisting with expansion of the marketing objectives, and offsetting a portion of the operational expenses. Gifts to the endowment fund are tax deductible and help ensure that Mended Hearts continues to offer hope and encouragement to heart disease patients and their families.

Contributions can be made in many different forms:

1. Direct cash contributions made to the charity
2. Life Insurance
3. Charitable Remainder and Charitable Lead Trusts (either through an Annuity [CRAT] or through Tax-free Bonds [CRUT])
4. Corporate Sharing - many companies provide matching Funds to qualified organizations
5. Fund Raisers - opportunities to write and excite chapters by putting on an event (race, raffle, rummage sale, bake sale, etc.) to generate Fund
