  • Seconds Count - The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, or SCAI, is the primary professional association for invasive and interventional cardiologists, physicians who diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease and congenital and structural heart conditions through catheter-based procedures, such as angioplasty and stenting. Seconds-Count.org is the centerpiece of SCAI’s public education initiative designed to inform patients and their families, as well as referring healthcare professionals, about cardiovascular disease and its treatments.

Financial Aid/Prescription Assistance

  • Partnership for Prescription Assistance - The Partnership for Prescription Assistance brings together America’s pharmaceutical companies, doctors, other health care providers, patient advocacy organizations and community groups to help qualifying patients who lack prescription coverage get the medicines they need through the public or private program that’s right for them. Many will get them free or nearly free. Its mission is to increase awareness of patient assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible. Through this site, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance offers a single point of access to more than 475 public and private patient assistance programs, including more than 150 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies.   • Free Meds and Solutions - The focus at Free Meds and Solutions is to provide you and your loved ones with programs that will assist you in your continuous effort to save or eliminate prescription medicine costs as well as a number of associated assistance programs. The site is designed to assist in accessing the 100’s of Patient Assistant Programs. They provide up-to-date information, qualifying criteria, applications and detailed instructions for these programs. 
  • Heart Support of America - Heart Support of America provides direct financial assistance to heart disease victims and their families that do not have the resources for the treatment and care they need. HSA grant programs do not just include medicines and other medical expenses, but meals, transportation and other assistance as well.
  • Hill-Burton Free Medical Care Program - Hospitals and other health care facilities receive Federal funds for construction or modernization under the Hill-Burton Program. In return, these facilities provide a specific amount of free or below cost health care services to eligible people. Contact the program for a list of participating facilities as well as information on eligibility.
